Course: Leadership and Teamwork
Topic: Competency Development and Conscious Learning
Students keep a portfolio throughout the semester, using it as a space to reflect on their
own learning process.
Introduction (20 min)
The teacher explains the purpose of the development portfolio, emphasising that it is nei-
ther a collection of assignments nor a descriptive journal. The structure of the portfolio,
the process of updating it and the role of reflection in experiential learning are discussed.
Students receive a simple portfolio template.
Update After Each Class (5–10 min)
At the end of each class or thematic block, students complete a short reflective entry by
responding to a fixed set of questions, such as:
• What was new or challenging for me today?
• What worked well in the way I learnt today, and what did not?
• What action, question or way of working helped me understand the topic more deeply?
• What am I beginning to notice about the way I learn during the semester?
• What will I change in the way I learn in future classes?
Linking With Other Activities
Throughout the semester, students refer in their portfolio to experiences from different
classes or modules. The portfolio documents how these activities influence their thinking
and decision-making.
Final Reflection (45–60 min)
At the end of the semester, students prepare an integrative reflection in which they:
• analyse their learning process,
• identify key moments in their development,
• indicate areas they would like to continue developing.
